For the Man
Howdy all!!! I finally have another card to share with you. This card is for a swap group that I am in on Splitcoast. It has been a while since I have participated in the swap. When I took a work travel trip to Seattle I was able to meet up with my bud Kadie and meet for the first time, Fay from the group. They gave me the inspiration I needed to get it in gear. It just so happens that this month's theme was chosen by Fay. The theme is "Man" cards and this is what I came up with. I kept the sentiment a bit generic so that it could be used for several occassions. I hope the girls like it.
For my card, I used the sketch from Jen's Deconstructed Sketch Challenges. The image is Dunder by Doodlefactory. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie. I used Basic Grey paper and PTI cardstock. The clouds were made with a die from Amuse. I paper pieced Dunder's clothes and colored him with copics.
Thank you for visiting and have a fabulous day!

Diggin' for Gold
Good day all!!! I'm sooo excited for today's post because I'm sharing it with my two of my best girlies, Kadie and Sandra! It has been a looooong time since we have done a card kit and this one was sent out by me quite some time ago, but due to all our schedules it has been hard to get this bad boy posted. Today is the day though and I can't wait to see what the other girls did with their kit. What was in the kit you ask? Well there was a couple images of this boogie boy Zed from The Doodle Factory Creatures II set, a few stamped sentiments from the same set, Prima Marketing designer paper, and some embellishments.
For my card I colored Zed up with copics and placed him on Papertrey Ink Die Mat Stack #4 cut-outs. I used my white Jelly Roll pen to add the white dot border on the mat and used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to staple the ribbon. I colored the background of the sentiment with a yellow copic then free hand cut the words and matted them with black cardstock.
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day. Now go see what Sandra and Kadie did with their kits and be sure to leave them some love. Just click on their names below.

Great American Grump Out
Sorry for such a late post. Apparantly cough syrup before bed and setting an alarm clock for work don't go hand in hand. Needless to say I was 2 hours late today. I made this card for a monthly swap group that I am in on SCS called the Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards. Each month there is a different hostess and theme. This month's theme was to make a card around a lesser known Holiday or celebration. My word there was some really good ones like "Talk like a pirate day". How fun. I finally decided to pick something that was around my daughter's birthday in May. Did you know that there was such a thing as the Great American Grump Out? When I saw that I immediately thought of Sfen from the Doodle Factory at Starving Artist. Then I decided to pair him with some cheerful Sassafrass Lass DP. The sentiment is computer generated and uses the ACME font from 1001freefonts. The layout was inspired from the Nov/Dec 2009 Paper Crafts Magazine on page 22. The only thing I did different was the keep the right hand side straight instead of decorative. If this card doesn't make you smile and get your grump out then I don't know what will. LOL. Thanks for visiting me today and don't forget to make a comment for my blogaversary candy listed in my right hand side bar for your chance to win.

Arrrrrgh! It's Friday!
Update: Woohoo! I made into the top 15 for Hanna Stamps Guest Designer. Now for Round 2. I can't wait to see what we get to design with.
TGIF! I'm soooo ready for the weekend. For today's card I have a Moose Pirate. Riley Moose to be specific and you can find him at Hanna Stamps. I made this card for the Hanna Stamps Guest Designer call. They are looking for 6 designers to serve 2 month terms beginning in September. If you ever wanted to be part of a deign team this is a great opportunity. I really must have lost my head...LOL!...because I keep forgetting to grab my detail information so that is my priority this weekend. Update the past three posts with the details. On this card I used the 2Sketches4You Top 30 Sketch as the inspiration. I think that layout is really cool. I did however move the sentiment down because mine was so big but I HAD to use it. The sentiment is from the Doodle Factory Tropics collection. One of the things that I love to do with my sentiments is to give it a cliped tail either one side or both. If I do both most of the time I will make the center pop-up a little. I will cut the sentiment the use my bone folder to make the setiment curl a bit and then anchor either side with glue dots. Kind of like when you curl ribbon with scissors. I just like the effect it gives. I colored Riley up with copics and sponged the edges with tea dye distress ink. Because of the rule that black pants and brown shoes are not suppose to go together I added the blue color to kind of marry the two together and add a little pop. Of those yellow pants on Riley add quite the pop but I had to tie in the parrot beak somehow. I drew the lines for the shirt and the pant leg and waistband. Oh and every Pirate needs treasure so I added pearls in the scallops. I hope you enjoy the card and your weekend.

Not a Pretty Site
Here is my second card to show you today. I used Mojo86 and this week's SCS color challenge of So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Bashful Blue as inspiration. The coffee cups and the kitty are popped-up. I again used water coloring on this card but used an aqua painter instead. This card actually got made before the Rain card and my bright idea of using a paint brush. I have been wanting to make this kitty and those coffee cups(received this Amuse stamp from Miss Kadie a loooong time ago) into a card for a while and the stars aligned for me tonight. Of course it is 1:45 am right now so I will probably need those two cups of coffee and pretty much look like that too. LOL! Enjoy and have a great weekend.Ink: Staz-on, Pumpkin pie, Bashful blue, So Saffron
Stamps: The Doodle Factory, Amuse
Paper: PTI White, Canson, K&Company DP

Rock the Farm!
Hi all you lovely blog hopping ladies! I hope you have been having a great time so far and getting some wonderful ideas from all the talented Club Anya Fans and uber talented DT members. Are you getting excited to get your hands on all the new releases? I know I am. I had no idea until yesterday what I was going to create that would be blog hop worthy until I came across this sketch on The Whimsical Butterfly. Once I had that then the ideas just started to flow. Instead of the ribbon I cut some grass and just built up the scene from there.(An idea I got from my bud Catherine's Bunny Card) There are quite a few popped up areas and I tried to catch that in the second picture. This is my first blog hop where I'm one of the stops. I'm really excited to share my card with you and I hope I rocked the farm. I used TGF's Rock the Farm Anya and McSplendid Farm chickie and piggie. The barn background, clouds, and truck are from the Doodle Factory. The papers are from SU, Georgia Pacific, and Basic Grey Cupcake. Images are colored with copics and stamped with Momento.
If you are here and wondering what all this babble is about, go to the Club Anya blog to find out all the details and get a list of all the stops. I can't think of a better way to spend a few hours after a hectic day of doing taxes and standing in line at the post office.

Yeah! It's Friday...
...but before you know it the weekend will fly by and it will be Monday again. You will drag yourself out of bed and probably look pretty similar to this character from the Doodle Factory. This guy brings a smile to my face every time I see him. I received some stamped images from a dear talented friend, but after I played with him I knew I had to have him. Here is a card made up from me playing with the image. He is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with re-inkers. I really like the richness of him, but I did go out of the lines in some areas. I'm still learning and trying to figure out how to control the flow using reinkers and an aqua painter. The paper is SU and In My Mind's Eye.
