Arrrrrgh! It's Friday!

Update: Woohoo! I made into the top 15 for Hanna Stamps Guest Designer. Now for Round 2. I can't wait to see what we get to design with.

TGIF! I'm soooo ready for the weekend. For today's card I have a Moose Pirate. Riley Moose to be specific and you can find him at Hanna Stamps. I made this card for the Hanna Stamps Guest Designer call. They are looking for 6 designers to serve 2 month terms beginning in September. If you ever wanted to be part of a deign team this is a great opportunity. I really must have lost my head...LOL!...because I keep forgetting to grab my detail information so that is my priority this weekend. Update the past three posts with the details. On this card I used the 2Sketches4You Top 30 Sketch as the inspiration. I think that layout is really cool. I did however move the sentiment down because mine was so big but I HAD to use it. The sentiment is from the Doodle Factory Tropics collection. One of the things that I love to do with my sentiments is to give it a cliped tail either one side or both. If I do both most of the time I will make the center pop-up a little. I will cut the sentiment the use my bone folder to make the setiment curl a bit and then anchor either side with glue dots. Kind of like when you curl ribbon with scissors. I just like the effect it gives. I colored Riley up with copics and sponged the edges with tea dye distress ink. Because of the rule that black pants and brown shoes are not suppose to go together I added the blue color to kind of marry the two together and add a little pop. Of those yellow pants on Riley add quite the pop but I had to tie in the parrot beak somehow. I drew the lines for the shirt and the pant leg and waistband. Oh and every Pirate needs treasure so I added pearls in the scallops. I hope you enjoy the card and your weekend.

Mary, your card is terrific. The dp is perfect for your image and love your "treasured pearl" embellishment. Amazing detail, especially the stripes on the shirt! Wow! And thanks for the info on the sentiment banner. I'm going to CASE that for sure.
This is a winner in my humble opinion!!!
