Unfrogettable

Happy Monday! What nice weather we had over the weekend. We even managed to make it to the park and DD learned how to climb the different bars to get to the platforms. She also learned to not go head first down the slide. Thankfully nothing was bruised or broken, just a little scared and covered in mulch.

This month's theme in the sisterhood was to use green and green creatures like frogs, alligators, dragons, etc. I found some of this fabulously fun paper from K&Company in my stash and I thought how perfect it would be paired up with the sentiment from Stampin' Up. I kept the card pretty Clean and Simple. No coloring and only one stamp.

Fall for November

Good Morning all! Can you believe it is February? You know what that means? I'm late with my January Sisterhood cards. This month's theme was given to us by the talented Michelle. She has tasked us with making a card about you and the month you were born. What a challenge. I was born in November and while I love the month...it got the short end of the stick in flowers and birthstone. I couldn't find anything cute about a scorpion. So I told my concerns to Michelle and she said to do what makes you happy. Finally I knew I was going to use yellow since that is November's color and then I love the trees in the fall. I went looking through my stamps and found the Trendy Trees set from Stampin Up. Then I saw this card from Dawn Easton. I knew that is what I wanted to do. It is pretty much a case of the card. I even used the same October Afternoon paper line and just picked different patterns. I also used a tree that look more like the leaves are about to fall off. I couldn't get my bow to work out right so I settled for a knot. I hope the girls like it. And can you believe it...no coloring!!!

Inspirational Card Sketches #50

Happy Tuesday all! Dawn has really laid down a challenging but eye pleasing sketch fo ryou this week. I think I just about passed out trying to figure out how I was going to tackle those weaved strips and especially how to attach them without getting them stuck crooked. I finally decided it was best to not layer those strips. For my card I'm giving you a little sneaky peek at what Heather over at Fresh Brewed Designs will be releasing tomorrow. She is releasing Hannah Belles that is inspired by her very own adorable daughter. So be sure to join in on her blog hop tomorrow. There will be so much cuteness you won't be able to stand it.

For my card I used Birthday Hannah from FBD. I colored this cutie up with copics and the sentiment came from SU. The designer papers are from Basic Grey with the solids from PTI, Neenah, and Bazzill. The flower is a Jolee felt sticker. I used Inspirational Card Sketch #50 for the layout. I hope you can play along with us. Please check out what the rest of the DT did with the sketch. Is It The Weekend Yet?

I spent 9.5 hours in a car yesterday coming back home from a little extended weekend vacation and feel like I need another vacation. I did color up three images while away but was just too drained in so many ways to muster up any mojo to put those images onto cards. So I thought you might be interested in seeing my first card that I posted on SCS. It was actually for a swap. After that, I was hooked. I have really grown a passion for the hobby and have come across so many fabulous and supportive people that have affected what I do and how I do it. It is so hard to phathom where we all would be without the internet. I had come from the Stampin' Up followers and had mostly only SU stuff to play with...my has that changed now. There are just sooooo many great companies and products out there today that choosing just one is soooo

impossible and why would you want to limit yourself?

When I look back at this card and then look at the cards I do today, I think this is still a nice card. I remember how long it took me to do this. A few hours to come up with the first one...easier afterwards. My cards still take the same amount of time...I have just picked up a few more skills that I learned from fellow hobbyists. Of course there is still so much to learn and do and that is what keeps this hobby interesting. Not to mention all the wonderful people that inspire you and that you also inspire. Quick Little Projects

I don't have a card to show you today, but I do have two very cute and quick little projects for your enjoyment. I had a meeting with my upline last night to discuss a fall Stamp camp. I've been to a Christmas stamp-a-stack with these girls and let me tell it is a production to see. There were about 20 girls and we made 6 projects of 5 cards each. It was soooo much fun. Well for the stamp camp I will get to be on the helping end this time. There are five of us and each of us are going to come up with 2 projects for the camp. The expected number is about 40 girls. Holey Cow! Of course I'm just a hobbist demo and don't have any local gals stamping with me, but I am glad to help with the huge event. Onto the projects...the little Top Note purse took about 5 min. to make. Punch out two top note cards, stack the cards and use the large oval punch to create a handle, cut a little flat bottom paper bag down to just below the bottom of the handle, attach a top note to either side of the bag, stamp a tag, fill the bag with goodies like Hershey's kisses, tie it closed with some ribbon and your done. The other project that we didn't do. One of the girls made it up and gave each of us one, but I had to share it too because it is such a good idea. Inside is a gum packet and stampled to the gum packet is the tab pull. I don't know exactly where she got the template but I'm sure you can find it on SCS or take one of the boxes apart to get measurements and score lines. I'll be back tomorrow with a super sweet sneek peak of what is going to be available at The Greeting Farm on August 1st. A Friend in Need

This is a card that I made for a friend that is going through a rough time. I hope she will find comfort knowing that the "Sisterhood" has her and her family in our thoughts in prayers.
