The Greeting Farm Blog Candy and Need Winners

While I don't have any cards to show today, I do have some blog candy for you. I'll have several cards to share with you this week but they need to be assembled from Hanna Stamps and Doggone Stamps. So be on the look out for those.

Many of you know how much I love creating with the Greeting Farm's stamps. Here is your chance to try them out for yourself or to add to your collection. I do not work for TGF, I just really love their products and costumer service. You may pick out any single stamp($8) from the Greeting Farm's site or as a tribute to our military you may pick the Hero($15) stamp set. A winner chosen with random.org will be picked on March 16th after 9:00pm EST. So you have until then to do the following...

1. Make a comment to this post including your best stamping tip.
2. Make a link back to this post in your blog. (if you don't have a blog just state that).

The winners of a handmade scarf by me are Karen and Susan. That was easy since you two are the only ones who posted, I got the yummy yarn this weekend and I think you two will love it. Don't worry Susan...the colors are not bright.

Love the greeting farm too!
My stamping tip is that to save ribbon around a layer, tape the ends to the back of the layer before you glue the layer down. Then tie a smaller piece of ribbon in the middle. I love saving on ribbon :)

Also, I don't have a blog. :)

I hope 2 is a lucky number!!

My tip: don't throw away imperfect stamped images. Uses include: fun for your kids to color and put on cards for grandparents, etc. PRACTICE! when you have new coloring mediums, when you want to try a new color combo, when you want try something -- here it is! and last, sometimes a good black drawing pen can fill in any missed spots... or if you get ink around the edges, you can silhouette. (Just make sure to keep the 'messy' separate from the 'clean'!)
Here's my blog, and Here's where I mention your blog!

Oh yay! I can't wait to have a Mary Original around my neck!

TGF images are great and I'm glad to hear you're having lots of fun with them Mary, but um.. where are the pictures?! Share Share Share!

XOXO!!

Hmm.. best stamping tip? When you're stumped, KISS your cards.. (Keep it simple stamper!.

But since I've already won a scarf, I"m opting out of this contest =)

OMGosh, Mary! You are just the sweetest!

Here's my tip:
This might be a no-brainer for most of you, but I'm no chem whiz, and had this "A-ha" moment a few weeks back. You can stamp your image in regular old dye ink if you are going to color with Copics! I did it on my Bad Bunny card, and it worked - not even the faintest hit of the ink bleeding (and believe me, I colored the bunny to death!).

Here's my blog post linking to your fabulous giveaway:

Hi Mary,

Thank you for the opportunity to win TGF stamps.

Though i have been stamping and making cards for a while, i only just began a blog and have been busy doing a complete overhaul of my craft studio, major progress today, am v. pleased.

My embarrassing blog can be found at www.divinetimecrafts.blogspot.com
any tips on how to make it look good and add my own BG etc... would be a welcome help :-)

As for a stamping tip - yes! I'm proud of this one, as it used to drive me nuts this problem.

When using embossing powders (and they can stick to the card making the image less than perfect), wipe the card/paper/acetate whichever medium you're stamping on, with the sheets you put in the dryer. They take the static away and it's easier to get any excess embossing powder off before heating.

Hope this proves useful.

Warm Wishes Monika

Ooooh, I would love these. Fingers Crossed. I will link you on my blog. My tip is to stamp up some extra of an image when I do em, cause then I can grab from my pre stamped stash.

Just like Karen, because I'm going to be the lucky recipient of a hand-knit scarf (YAY!), I am opting out of this as well. But I am linking you up on my blog, just in case someone we don't know wanders over there!

And I don't have stamping tips because I'm still learning from all of you! Hmmm, how about, clean your stamps and your stamping area as you go! :-)

I love TGF images. Thanks for a chance to win one!

My best tip is to use acetate instead of a miror stamp. I don't have a big miror stamp (just a little one). The ink on the acetate stays wet long enough for stamping (the miror effect). I don't have a blog.

I don't know how I missed this post! I'm anxious to try out some of TGF stamps. Thanks for the opportunity.

My Tip: I like to use coffee filters to hold glitter/embossing powder when I'm working with it. It's a much less messy way to get it back in the bottle, and then you can just toss them away when you're done.

Wow! Love your site and this offer of blog candy too! I'll list it on my blog, http://triesmakingcards.blogspot.com My tip is to store extra stamped images in a small tin on your workstation top for easy use, plus sharing these images with friends, as you often receive a gift back with something you don't have! This helps make stamping fun (as well as surprising!)

Sorry, comment went too fast before I could stop it! My best tip would be: WHen using glossy accents, color underneath it on the paper first. Then apply - color shines right thru! Yes, I learned the hard way - let it dry and then tried coloring the accent, ROFL! I've linked you here: http://www.sandcastlestamper.blogspot.com

I do not have any from the greeting farm yet but I keep going back and looking at them, just haven't ordered them yet. I have added you to my blog. Stamping tip --- hmmm. This is probably known but make sure you are on a surface that does not bend, even a little, when stamping. Makes it hard to get a clear image. And, no matter how hard you try you will get ink on you :)

Great giveaway! My tip is to make sure you have a piece of paper under the one you are coloring with copics.... my table will never be the same!

I just recently found out about TGF stamps... and I LOVE them.

As for my tip... practice, practice, practice, which is what I do a lot. I'm not as naturally talented as some stampers, but I'm slowly progressing forward and each card I do makes me a better stamper/crafter.

Here is the link to my blog

I don't have a blog... that's one reason why I follow yours! {wink!}

Stampin' tip huh?? Mmmmm my stampin' pals always yell at me to be sure to sign the back of my creations... you know the "hand stamped by" thingy so my tip would be to at least initial the back og your cards.

Another fast and easy thing to do is decorate your envelopes... when stamping an image for your card, grab your envy and quickly stamp that too, say on the back flap or in the lower left corner. Simple and coordinated :0)

Thanks for the op to win!!

I'm not sure I'm the right person to give tips as I still consider myself as a beginning stamper (although I do it about a year). I learn a lot by reading blogs and participating in challenges. They help you try techniques which you usually wouldn't do or even don't know yet. This weekend I participated in 2peas Winterfest and made a card with masking technique, which I wouldn't have tried otherwise. Thanks for a chance to win! Greetings from Belgium, Annelies

I love the snail mail birthday card that you made for Lindalee!

My stamping tip is actually a repeat of another commenters -- always stamp off a few extra images when you have your stamp set out. Having a few extra on hand helps when you're in a hurry to create OR when the well of creativity is dry!

Also, I don't have a blog.

My tip is make several of one set, just using different papers, etc.

I find i get more accomplished.

My best stamping tip is for those who buy unmounted rubber stamps. I don't think cling-mount is necessary especially with lined images stamps. For those, I just use bare and bought TSUKINEKO TACK N' PEEL (that you stick on an acrylic mount). I think that saves you money (for more stamps!!). I'll be posting about your candy on my blog!!
