Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm

Sometimes you meet people in your life and you wonder how is it that they can always be so giving of themselves even when experiencing their own turmoils. The only answer I have come up with is that those people are Angels on Earth. I have met several of them through the sisterhood that I am involved with on SCS but one particular Angel has had a very trying year and yesterday she learned some great news that has lifted her heart. When I made this card on Wednesday night I had her in mind and with learning her good news yesterday well I think this card couldn't be more fitting. BIG HUGS Lorie!

This card uses the sketch given for this week's TGF's Farm Fresh Friday challenge and their latest release of the Butterfly Wishes set. A gorgeous sentiment set design by the famous Miss Jessica of Club Anya. I found this gorgeous K&Company paper from the LSS and thought I really wanted to do a pretty card. As those who know me, know that pretty cards are not my strength. I'm usually a bold colors, funny, and/or cute type of gal, but I really love how this came out. I may have to do more of these in the future.

I also want to thank everybody who joined us on the blog hop on Wednesday. I loved reading all the comments and hope that you all had fun too. Have a great, safe and happy 4th!

Inks: SU chocolate chip, Distress Antique linen, Tea Dye
Paper: K&Company DP, PTI Vanilla, SU Red Riding Hood

That is a gorgeous card! I am happy to hear your friend has had some good news. I am sure it helps to get through those trying times when she has a friend who obviously cares like you do.
I wanted to say that was a great job on you card for the blog hop! I didn't leave comments that day on anyone's blog because as part of the Club Anya DT I didn't want to put my name in for any free drawings, but I was hopping and enjoying the fabulous work by the DT! :-) Traci

OMG!! Well, our sweet Karen had is right! Teary eyed all over again! When I saw this card in my blog roll...BEFORE I ever read a word, all I could think was STUNNING! Mary, I don't know what to say!! You are a such a sweet, caring friend, and they just don't get more special than YOU!! I don't know what I would have done for this past year without the love and support of the sisters. It's been a long, and trying journey, but one that has grown me in my faith, and given me a much deeper understanding and appreciation of just how important those we love and hold close in our hearts are! I LOVE YOU, sister, from the bottom of my heart!
