Farm Fresh Friday Challenge #2

T.G.I.F! I will be heading back home tomorrow and have access to all my stamping stuff. You don't know how much you love your craft space until you work from a coffee table in a dark paneled den or don't have one of your go to tools with you. I forgot my scorpal and so it is very time consuming to get that perfect fold. Good thing I did remember the bone folder. I hope you al have a great weekend. In the mean time how about joining in on the Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge. This week's challenge is "Supplies, Supplies..." use punches, bling, and at least 2 TGF stamps.

My first card is a little attempt at a collage style of card. I used my nesties to create the sun and the white glittery swirl border is a sticker border. The scalloped red polka dot paper is from Sassafrass Lass, the stripes and sun paper is from Basic Grey June Bug. I stamped two clouds and a sentiment from The Greeting Farm's Far Away set and added some tiny twinkles to the sun and easy but bold and fun to look at card.

For my second card I used The Greeting Farm's Geisha Anya and sentiment from the Whimsical Wishes set. I colored this little beauty up before I looked to see what papers I had with me. I had no definite purples, but I did Find this piece of K&Company the was green one side yellow on the other with purple accents throughout...perfect. I used the square nestie to create the scallop border and circle. I think I spent an hour putting on all those little beads on the scallops and just happen to have bought the purple jewels on my trip. now I have mostly been using Caucasian skin coloring and this is my attempt at Asian. I fairly new to copics only about a year so if any of you experts out there know a good Asian color combo please let me know. This is also my first attempt at black hair. I have always admired Wicked Pixie's black hair coloring and she even did a tutorial for the Club Anya blog. My only problem...I don't have the same colors she does. So I just tried a bit of a feather technique to make the best of what I did have. I hope you enjoyed the inspirations for the challenges and can find some time this weekend to join in on the fun.

Both are very cool cards Mary! I really love the collage look to the first one and that sticker scroll is delicious! And your Geisha card is so pretty and delicate. I'm glad you didn't have any purple paper because the yellows in this paper against her dress works perfectly! She even looks like she has wings because of where you placed her! Can't wait until you're home safe and sound. :D

So pretty! I love both of your cards. Everytime I try to go darker, my people look sun burnt, lol. I'm still trying on the skin thing too.
