Card Kit with BFsF

Hello Everyone. Sorry for the delay. I was running late to get Olivia and myself to church this morning. I tried to take a picture in a hurry but with the cloudy and dark morning it just wasn't working for me so hopefully this new picture looks better.

This card kit was given to Kadie and myself from Sandra when we got the opportunity to have a girl weekend at Sandra's super cute old farm house. I'm telling you she decorates it like a Southern Living magazine spread. We also got to visit three other New England states while visiting and it was so much fun. I can't wait for our next get together.

For my card I color this Stamping Bella with copics. I am way out of practice. I messed up my spare image by not paying attention to the colors I was grabbing. You will have to check out Sandra's blog for a list of the papers, but I did use PTI Kraft cardstock and layered with Georgia Pacific. I added some Diamond stickles to the wings and white portions of this fairy's dress. The sentiment is also from PTI.

Later this week I'll have another card for you that I started on the girl weekend.

Thank you for visiting today. Please visit Kadie and Sandra to see what they have created with the kit and be sure to leave them some love.

Happy Birthday Sandra!

Happy Friday all! I have a lot planned for this weekend since I have four days off! Woohoo! Some of it is cleaning house, yard work, baking, and hopefully I will get to play with making some cards too. I've really been enjoying getting back into card making. I'm finding lots of stamps that need some attention like this Suzette Ketto from Stamping Bella. I made this card for a very special friend and many of you may know her...Sandra. Her birthday is tomorrow and while she is taking a break for the summer, hop on over to her blog to wish her a Happy Birthday!

Today my card uses the Sweet Sunday Sketch #118. I paired the Ketto with some My Mind's Eye Stella Rose collection. The background polka dot paper is from something like Canvas Home(?), not your normal company name. The sentiment and the newsprint on the flower is from Papertrey Ink. I used some packing paper with a PTI flower die and cut out 6 layers, scrunched it up, and spritzed it with glimmer mist. I attached the layers together with a brad. I colored the Ketto with copics, used a black spica pen on her hair and black parts of her clothes, then added diamond stickles to her dress.

I hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!

Skake It Up Baby!

Good Monday morning all. Today's card is a shaker card that I made for a monthly swap on SCS with about 30 fabulous women in it. This month's theme was "Move It" and your card had to have something on it that moved. I was going to do a flip flop card, but then saw the idea for the shaker cards on SCS and thought hmmm...that would work and be fun. Plus you could call it a day for your exercise after all the shaking. LOL! I've never done one of these, but about fainted at the cost of frame tape at the LSS yesterday. It was $4.49 for a roll that might get me through three cards. So I thought that is crazy! What else can I use? I proceeded to the kids craft area and low and behold there was sticky backed foam sheets. I can now do all 6 cards for $0.99. Well and some tacky glue for the non-sticky side, but that is pennies...so $1.05 for all six cards. Plus you can use your nesties to cut it to the shape you want and you can double it up for greater height and shaking goodies like buttons and bigger beads, etc. I may have to do some shakers for Christmas because this was fun. The designer paper I used is from the K&Company Raspberry line. The stamp is from Stampingbella and colored with copics. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stoppping by.

Welcome Bella Blog Hoppers!

Welcome all to my blog. I hope you are enjoying the hop so far and getting some fabulous inspiration on what you can do with your Bellas. Hopefully you are joining me from Ms. Paula Tracy's amazing blog but if you just happen to be blog surfing and stumbled upon my blog how about starting at the beginning of the hop on the Stamping Bella Blog and play along? For my card I pretty much kept the color palette soft, but added the punch of black and white houndstooth DP. I colored up Charlotte Ketto with my copics and added clear spica to the circular hair things and to her wispies. Of course the camera doesn't pick that up, but the sparkles are there. I added some tiny twinkles to the corners for just a little bling and a clear and pink button to the sentiment to tie into the pink in her dress. Now this Ketto is ready to do some serious birthday shopping. Your next stop on the hop is the fabulously talented Sparkle.

Oh and how about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, Stamping Bella has decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $40 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! Stamping Bella will announce the winner on Monday in the Splitcoast forum. Good luck and have fun!

Read the Details

Well I was going to originally use this card for the Bella Blog Hop that I thought was this Thursday. Apparently it is not until next Thursday! Geesh...I need to remember to read the details next time. Ever have something like that happen to you? I want to go ahead and show you this card because I used TECC72 sketch from last Friday and the OCC challenge to use decorative border punches. I used my sewing machine to put stitches around the edges and on the ribbon. This cute stamp is call AMPLEE'tude from Stamping Bella an colored with copics. I will update the post later tonight with the deets.
