Happy Hump Day! Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week and then Christmas next month?! Where has this year gone? This weekend I will be putting up the Christmas tree, but I will refrain from turning it on until after Thanksgiving. We have a few interactive Hallmark ornaments that my 3 yo DD is excited to get out. She especially likes the Grinch by the refridgerator one. So I have a dilemma...we normally like colored lights on our tree and yesterday I bought a pre-lit fake tree(gasp to some of you I know, but I grew up on fake trees) but it has clear lights and doesn't come in colored lights. So my question then becomes do I just go with the clear lights, replace the clear lights with colored ones, or go redneck and mix colored and clear? My tree doesn't have a theme, it is just ornaments picked up here and there. This year I'll probably have the kiddo make some ornaments for gifts to the grandparents.
For my card I used Get Sketchy #14 for the layout. I pulled papers from my scrap bin. I think the blue and brown glittery papers are from last year's My Mind's Eye and the red is a strip of this year's October Afternoon. Th image is Lily Hot Cocoa from Pink Cat Studios. She is a digital image and I colored her up with my copics. I added diamond stickles to her coat trims. The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm Keep Cozy set.
