Love on the Edge

Happy Monday all! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I actually spent some time in my craft space to clean, organize, and create. I created two cards this weekend, the one you see here and the one you will see tomorrow for By LORi Designs. It really feels good to take some time for myself to create.

For today's card I am using Ebony from The Greeting Farm. I actually had her hair and skin colored for over a year. Can you believe that?! Finally she has made her way to a card and she makes a perfect V-Day card for a teen. A little edgy and not overly pink. I colored Ebony with copic markers. The punch outs are from Papertrey Ink, Sizzix, and Stampin' Up. The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye. I love this pack of paper and will probably be using most of it up this month. Finally I added some diamond stickles on the headband and skull for a little pizzazz.

Thank you for stopping by I hope you have a great day.

Lovin' from the Oven

Happy Tuesday all! Sorry I didn't have a card for you last week. Between procrasting on taxes and little chickie coming down with a stomach bug for a couple of days, things just did not happen. Everyone is healthy now and somewhat rested. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be trying to get things together and planned for little chickie's 6th Birthday. This year she decided to have it at the local gymnastic center, with a Barbie theme, and all girls. She did say that it was okay for her Daddy to come because somenone has to go get the pizzas. LOL...gotta love it.

For my card, I used Lollipop Lil' Chef (Girl) from By LORi Designs. My inspiration started with Sandra's "Smile" card. I paired this Lollipop with soe designers papers from Kitschy Kitchen by Melissa Frances along with some Stampin' Up and Papertrey Ink cardstock. The image was colored with copics. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I added some twine and a button for ebellishments to finish off the card.

I hope you enjoyed this week's card. For more marvelous inspiration, check out the rest of the DT listed in my sidebar. Have a wonderful week.

Sisterhood Monthly Swap Fall

Happy Fall Y'all! I can't believe that another year is almost over. Where did the time go? All I can say is that I'm glad that fall is finally here. Summer was so dreadfully hot and then we had that crazy earthquake followed by Hurricane Irene. Hopefully the winter will be peaceful. My card is for a monthly swap that I am in with a group of wonderful ladies. This month's swap is hosted by Paola. She has given us the challenge to come up with a fall themed card. For my card I used a layout from PaperCrafts Magazine. My card is a gift card holder. Many of the ladies in the group love Starbucks and some can't get enough of the Fall flavors of Pumpkin Spice or Salted Caramel Mochas. Since most of us are not co-located to share a cup of coffee together, then this was the next best thing I could think of. The designer paper is an oldie from K&Company. The ribbon is from Stampin' up. The scallop border, sentiment, and die-cut flower are from Papertrey Ink. I hope the girls like it since this is a very different type of card me since I mostly like to coloring with my copics and there isn't even an image to color on this card.

Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Harvest

Happy Tuesday all! Sorry I didn't have a post yesterday. The weekend was incredibly crazy with my husband's Uncle in town and then I had to work over the weekend in the evenings. I'm not complaining though. It helps support my stamping hobby {{Grin}}. I made this card for the September Sisterhood swap being hosted by Roxane(2CuteCats). Her theme for the month was fall but you could not use Thanksgiving or Halloween. For this card I used Papertrey Ink's First Fruits stamp set and solid cardstock in Dark Chocolate and Vanilla. The designer paper is from K&Company's Fall line. I cuttlebug embossed the center Diamond and used a nestie on the center cut-out. It is almost as if this die was made for this stamp with as well as it fits. The sketch I used is from Inspirational Card Sketches #34. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
