Inspirational Card Sketch #61

Oh what a beautiful morning! That was what was going through my head when I was making my card with this cute image from Papermom who is this week's and next week's sponsor. Although the vision in my head didn't translate very well on the card. I pictured a very pretty sunrise with the bird song floating among the clouds in a very blue sky. I think I should have made a paper pieced sun instead of a sponged one...I still may do that, but my mojo was just lacking last night and I only thought of that this morning as I was getting ready for work. I also colored the little birdie and music notes with copics. Dawn has created another fun sketch to play with at Inspirational Card Sketches and I hope you will join us.

I can totally see why you were singing that tune - in fact, you've got me singing it now, too! I love that image with the whistling bird sitting atop a music note! You have him set off perfectly with that background paper. Your sponged sun and clouds are just the right touch - don't change a thing!!

I think this turned out really great Mary, but I know what you mean about thinking up a better solution once you've gone to bed! Happens to me all the time! Still looks great though. :)

Mary - this is just stunning. It's a wonderful bright and happy card and I love the sponged sun - it's soft and perfect. Definitely a smile made from paper.

Hugs!
