Monster Mash

Is it the weekend yet? I'm so looking forward to the long weekend and enjoying the Labor Day holiday. With Labor Day it marks the end of summer and the beginning of one of my favorite times of the year Fall! How could you not love Halloween and Thanksgiving? I'm already in the mood for both, but man has this year flown by. I'll spend my weekend with family and catching up on commenting on the blogs...I've fallen soooo behind since work has been super busy and just trying to get caught up at home...so those of you that I frequent and have missed lately expect a commenting frenzy from me over the weekend...hehehe.

Today's card is from a card kit that Sandra sent to Kadie and myself. We have become good friends since meeting on SCS in one of Kadie's swaps nearly 1.5 years ago. We are from all over the country so getting together to stamp just won't work. So we thought how fun would it be to at least work with the same kit and showcase on the same day to see what we all come up with. Each month we take turns on who sends the kit. This month it is from Sandra and she sent some absolutely yummy papers and this cute Whipper Snapper My Favorite Mummy image. There was actually enough paper and embellies to make two different types of cards. I decided for mine I would go funky. I'm definitely going to make another one and go vintage that I'll post later next week. I colored the mummy with copics, added some buttons, and ribbon(where did you get that ribbon Sandra? I love it!) from the kit. Those glittery scallops are actually circles from a piece of designer paper that was in the kit too. I cut one edge and then cut the excess paper to get the scallops. I'm going to be stingy with that paper. It is fabulous. Thanks for the fun kit to play with Sandra! Join me tomorrow for another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge.

Apparently a new camera isn't the only thing you got for your anniversary Mary....you got some SERIOUS MOJO too!! This is AMAZING!! My card pales in comparison to this beauty. Great photo to Mare. :) The ribbon was in a little plastic bag so I can't tell you who made it, but it's beautiful isn't it?! Only the best for my girls. LOL
