Mojo 73 An Angel's Birthday

One of the hardest things about making cards is coming up with a layout. After that it is choosing the colors. I figured I'm going try and take some of the hard decision work out of it and utilize the Mojo Monday sketches or the SCS Wednesday sketches. This card was made using Mojo Monday's #73 sketch. Can you believe I still fussed with it for 3 hours? I had to audition papers then I was trying a whole bunch of different coloring techniques to see which one would look best with the paper. Finally I turned to my copics. I think the resulting colors turned out very nicely. I have noticed that I continuously give my people images dark hair. I have nothing against the other colors. I just think I'm drawn to high contrast. This card was made for a very special friend's birthday that is coming up very soon. She is definitely an Angel on Earth.

What a beautiful card! I love your choice of papers!! I love how you describe "auditioning papers!" Funny..I am sitting here watching American Idol and I can imagine you sitting there with the paper in front of you saying...sorry, you are not going on the card!
