Release Day at Sweet N Sassy Digis

Happy Thursday! You know what that means? It is release day at the Sweet N Sassy Digi store. This is one of two new digis that are available today. It is called Winter Love and a design by Korin. I'll have another card to show you using the other digi on Saturday. You'll want to hop onto the digi blog for some more inspiration with the adorable digi and get the details for the party that is going on at SNR.

For my card I used copics to colors the image and I just can't stop using that My Mind's Eye holiday paper. It is so sparklie in IRL. The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm's Keep Cozy set. I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #46 for the layout.

Okay a few follow-ups to some earlier stories...Remember when I told you about DD wanting a Nutcracker and how I found one at Jo-Ann's? Well This is a picture of her on Thanksgiving playing with her Nutcracker. Sorry for the blurriness of DD...I apparantly had my focus point in the wrong location. She loves that Nutcracker.

The decision on the Christmas tree...Don't buy a pre-lit tree that has lights on it that your family doesn't traditionally use. Because you will end up removing the lights and replacing them with the ones your family likes. It took me two days to remove all the white lights of the tree. It now has colored LED lights...now I'm not sure if I like it. Why? The LED lights give off a cool blue glow whereas traditional colored lights have a warm glow kind of like a fireplace. Of course the LEDs are more energy efficient and cool to the touch. DH loves the new LEDs and so does DD. I guess that is all that matters right? Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Mary, your card is awesome! Love that fun paper, and great colouring!

Again, your daughter reminds me of mine...she danced in local productions of the Nutcracker for the last few years, and has collected quite a few of them too! How many little girls have dreamed of being a ballerina??

Have a great day!

Good morning, Mary!

I love your card!! Those colors are gorgeous, and your coloring is so rich and beautiful as always!!

Olivia is so cute with her nutcracker. She's such a sweetie!!

I don't like those prelit trees either! If a section happens to go out, it's not at all easy to find the bulb or bulbs that need replacing. I spent hours taking all the lights off of mine last year!! NO more of those for me!!!!

Again, your card is beautiful, and I'm hoping to play along at SNR today!

Love ya,
Lorie

Mary, you always find the BEST papers!! I swear you do! This is so adorable and you've colored up those owls just perfectly. Olivia is a doll in that dress! So pretty! What is it about nutcrackers?? Syd spotted one on display outside the theatre after we saw the ballet and begged her daddy to buy her one! They just creep me out a little. :)

OMG! Your card is GORGEOUS but I cannot get past that sweet pic of your DD=she is the CUTEST! Looks just like you, too! What a sweet pic-I used to take my mom's nutcrackers off the mantle when I was little so this totally reminds me of me growing up. Too cute!!

My DH doesn't like nutcrackers...just the name send him out of the room. LOL

Your card is PRECIOUS!!! I LOVE those owls and your papers are gorgeous!!! I will have to be on the lookout for that paper ... even if I have to get it after Christmas and put it back. It is just gorgeous (deserved to be said twice).

Your daughter is SOOOO CUTE / SWEET!!! She looks JUST like you! :o). I think that the tree issue is very similar to the one we have had here. Our prelit tree did not work this year, half the lights were very dim or did not work at all. You know my image of All tied up, the snowman... well, imagine that as my husband, the kids as my children ... and I am not in the picture because I am ill and in another room. Yes, he decided to REMOVE ALL the lights and start over. We got the tree down around 10 and did not start adding ornaments until 1. I had so much planned along with Carolyn's hop cards that needed to be made. I was not a happy mama. I got over it and made it fun again ... lol ... but next year we are not doing this again!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend Mary. Hugs!!!

Heather

Beautiful card, Mary! Your coloring is wonderful, and I love all the fun glitter!!

Your daughter is such a little cutie, and she looks so much like you!! RE the LED lights -- I'm with you on those. My hubby decided it was the way to go this year because our old lights weren't working, but the strange blue glow has me a bit spooked -- LOL!
