Yay! It's Friday! Today I celebrate my birthday and New Moon is out. Guess what I want for my birthday. Edward at my door with a bow would be nice, but I would settle for some popcorn next to my DH. He has even volunteered to add his own theatrics to the movie. Gee thanks honey. LOL.
Anyway today is also Unity's Friends with Flair hop. I've had a special card that needed to be made for quite a while and some of the requirements were that it had to be single layer and no embellishments. I've this idea for a card in my head for nearly a month but I just couldn't find the right stamp I wanted to use until last night when I was going through my Unity stamps for FWF did I come across this Ferris wheel from Unity's ...100% Happy set. Then the sentiment came from this month's Kit of the Month Simply Magical. I masked a rectangle on the inside of the card and used Distressed Dots and my copic airgun with B000 to make the blue background. I also used one of my nesties to trace out the front square and used a craft blade to cut out the square and parts of the ferris wheel that would overlap the blue background. I thought that by keeping the colors minimal and only coloring the portion of the ferris wheel in the square would make for a more dramatic effect. What do you think? Definitely not a comfort zone type of card to do.
Everyone have a fabulous weekend and thank you so much for stopping by. I enjoying reading all your comments and pointers. Be sure to visit the rest of the FWF hoppers because someone has prizes.
