A Budding Artist

I had planned to have a Farm Fresh Friday Boy challenge card for you today but when I found the Breast Cancer swap a few days ago that is due really soon that took priority and so that is what I finished last night. So for your enjoyment(and proud mama moment), these two images were colored in by my 3 yo daughter. Whenever I make cards I always stamp off a couple more images and put them into a box for my daughter. As you can see Olivia signed her art at the top and for good measure added two smilie faces at the bottom. Many times she will color a card and then pick out a button and a flower from her stash(yes she has her own stash) to have me help her glue it to her cards. She is always saying I'm making these for my friends or Miss Kelly(daycare provider). When she makes them for Kelly, I'll put the card into DD's lunch box so that Kelly will see it when she opens it to fix Olivia's meals. It is sooo sweet. Both of these images are from The Greeting Farm and colored with Crayola washable markers.

Crayola washable markers, now there's a new coloring medium for stamping :D

For a 3yo she stays inside the lines pretty well :) Soon she'll surpass her momma I bet :D

How cute, she takes after her mommy with the great coloring skills. She looks like she will be a lot of fun as a teenager if she wants her hair to be so colorful.

So cute! and what a great idea - stamping off extra images. My 5yr old son loves making cards, he even has a little 'work area' set up in my craft room. I'll have to stamp some extra images for him.

Ok Miss Mary, Olivia is seriously a budding artist!! Syd can't color that well! She draws well, but coloring is a different story! LOL I need to start sharing my stamps with Syd I think....I've been a mean mama lately! ;)

Olivia colors better than some adults I've swapped with! ROFL! (Just kidding!)
That is such a good idea about stamping extras - I'll have to remember to do that for my pseudo-niece! Maybe if I get her hooked, her momma will be motivated to return to stamping!

Obviously Olivia inherited your coloring abilities. I swear, Jack has not ever liked to color until just a month ago when he started Kindergarten. I've never seen a 3 year old color this good! That's so amazing!
