Farm Fresh Friday - Sketch

Happy Friday all! It has been one crazy week for me personally and I finally got to stamping yesterday and boy did it feel good. Stamping is such a stress reliever, except when you are cutting an image to size and misjudge where the blade is going to cut and then end up loosing toes and knees from your image. Oh well, now I know where the blade falls on a particular cutter. LOL! Anyway here is my card for your inpiration for the FFF challenge. BUT WAIT! What is that you see...who is that girl? Meet Amy Paints. She is a digi from a new artist named Janet McDonnell. Her images are geared towards teens and things that appeal to teens. I know I definitely see my daughter in this stamp 10 years from now. Let us know what you think . This digi will be available from The Greeting Farm on the 15th of this month.

For my card I used Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket designer papers, Martha Stewart loopy punch, the sentiment is from the Pretty Hat set, and I colored her up with copics. I hand drew the rug to represent the oval in the sketch.

Don't forget to check out the design your own sprout opportunity. How fun would it be to have your idea made into a stamp! Get the template from The Greeting Farm Blog. Have a fabulous weekend.

Shut up!?! This is awesome Mary!! And I am a little freaked out that we used the same striped paper on today's card! That's just weird!?! :) Love the new digi too! And your coloring...well, all I can say is that you blend like no other!

Mary, you did a beautiful job with this! You highlighted this image perfectly and rocked the sketch at the same time! Cool. I have a rough time scaling my digis down even before I get to the cutter. LOL. Hope you have a great weekend and get to enjoy making more cards :)

Very cute card! She looks like she is in an adorable girly room that my daughter would love to call her own!!

Be grateful it's the paper girls knees and toes and not you fingers!! (Speaking as someone who sliced open her finger last night! Nothing too serious, though, and not with a paper trimmer!) :-)Traci

Okay, I totally didn't want to gush on the TGF blog about how absolutely PERFECT this card is Mary!!! Omword, genius to use the oval element of the sketch as a rug. I love her, this is my 8yo DD now (except mine is darker with tons of ringlets - haha). I love the new line, so very teen innocence. I see too many suggestive images out there that really bothers me. These however, are adorable and your card made me smile today. ;)

Beautiful job, Mary -- I love how you paired the DSP to almost look like a patchwork loop rug that a teen girl would have in her room ;) Awesome.

Just like the sentiment says, this card is So Pretty! This is such a versatile teen digi image. Love the DP "wallpaper" and adding the rug was a great idea!

This is, I think, one of my favorite cards of yours to date. Your coloring is wicked amazing on her, and all the elements-the rug, the striped DP that ould be wallpaper....it all just comes together in a way that is just STRIKING! Beautiful!!!
