Crazy For You...

...and I'm crazy for this 80s Anya! Ahhh the 80s so many memories. After the 80s I think that is when it was decided that there needed to be a re-evaluation of what was the appropriate age level to expose certain topics. I think most of the movies were about teen angst and rebellion. Some of my all time favorite movies Ferris Beuller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Some Kind of Wonderful. I think Madonna was the biggest line pusher during that time. The 80s was a fabulous time when Music TV was born. I'm a music enthusiast and loved watching all the music videos. Do artists even make videos anymore? The only thing I see on most of the music channels these days are brain cell depleting reality shows. I remember jelly bracelets and shoes, long shirts with belts over the top, stirrup pants, big hair and even bigger bangs, bad perms, and banana clips. What are some of your memories from the 80s?

Woohoo! I got my E00 and R00 refills and so goes this Limited Edition 80s Anya from the Greeting Farm was colored up with copics. I used papers from my scrap basket. I believe the majority of the designer papers are from Me& My BIG ideas and a piece from Cosmo Cricket. I used part of a Basic Grey Star Bling and cut out the "80's" using my cuttlebug letters and some glittery sticker paper that I had stashed away. I also used Crazy 4 Challenges sketch C4C3. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

OMGosh i so love 80's Anya, really does remind me of my childhood and early teens, i remember the 80s with such affection. Like you i'm a big music fan, Madonna was the first artist i really got into, and then music tv, funny how i remember life before music tv. I used to spend every sunday afternoon listening to the rundown of the current top 40 as it counted down; i used to record it onto tape, so i could listen to it all week, then i'd record over it the following weekend, cos i couldn't afford more tapes tehe, great memories.

Really love your card, i'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of 80's Anya :)

Have a great day

Hi Mary! What a fun card and fun post! Love those movies - The Breakfast Club is still one of my faves!~ I can't wait until my DD is old enough to watch it with me!
Last night we were watching something on tv that was making fun of mullets, and DD said,"What's so funny?" I said,"Well, so you know what mullet is?' And she said "Of course I do - it's a kind of fish!" :-)Traci

Supah cute, Mary! I love the platinum blonde "big" hair, and the fun colors you used! I love those glittery numbers too! I was so busy having babies, and taking care of them that the 80's are a blurr. I did love those big shirts, though. :-)
