Boy Scout

Boy did this weekend zip by! The county fair was this weekend so DH and I took our 3yo DD to enjoy the rides for the very first time. Her favorite was the Dumbo elephant ride that went in a circle up in the air. She rode that with DH and I was trying to get some good pictures. Maybe I'll post one tomorrow if any of them came out. The smile that was on her face was just priceless. Of course we had to enjoy a funnel cake with powdered sugar, watch the horses race and the riders trying to get a pole into rings as they were riding, the Clydesdale horses were there so DD got to pet them and look at a variety of farm animals. Then I finally got laundry caught up and put away on Sunday. Now to just keep it that way.

For this card I used the Boy Scout from The Greeting Farm's Cute Troop Set. Isn't he cute? Of course when I ask DH if the colors were right, he goes "are you sure that isn't supposed to be a Cub Scout?" I said "Noooooo. Otherwise I would have colored him blue." I drew the fleur de lis and stripes on the scarf by hand. I colored the Scout with copics and tried an African American skin tone. The designer papers are from K&Company Boy Scout line. I cut out some of what I think are badge symbols from one of the papers and put raindots over them. I used Sketch #35 from Inspirational Card Sketches. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Look at him! He's quite the dapper Cub Scout -- between you and Amy, I tell you - we'd scoop up this entire line of TGF stamps! He is just dreaming, colored to perfection - this should be in a magazine somewhere!
