A Challenge Indeed

This is my submission for The Greeting Farm's Black and White Sketch Challenge. Not only could you not use color, but the sketch was also provided to you. I have always wanted to do a black and white card, but have been way tooo coward to even approach it. Why? I love bright colors. I do love the looks of black and white cards though. They can look very elegant as I have tried to pull-off in this card or they can be very fun and funky as in a rock or skate boarder theme. Of course then there is the goth and the creepy, but I tried to stay elegant for this one which is why I chose the Pretty Hat Anya from TGF and paired it up with a pearl hat pin. I was supposed to have some blog candy for today, but have yet to take a picture so check back tomorrow for your chance at some really great stuff.

Anya and Flower background: C1, C3, C5, colorless blender
Paper: SU DP, PTI White and black, Neenah
Stamps: TGF Pretty Hat

This card really is so pretty I love how you have used the stamp for the backing paper and the shading is out of this world it almost looks coloured.

Amy's right, Mare...this almost looks colored because you've done the shading on Pretty Hat Anya so well. I love the framing of this. The polka dots really give a nice strong contrast and that pin is perfect. SO PRETTY is SO right. Ph and how do you get the perfect bow?? I gotta know! :)

Dude. Your cards sometimes actually take my breath away.

I saw this in the gallery when I submitted my pitiful excuse for an entry... I was so impressed by it!

Thank you for keeping me inspired and giving me a goal. (that's to have cards as prety as yours someday, in case you didn't catch that ;)
