Coming out to Play

I love Spring. One of the many reasons I love it has to do with all the lovely flowers and beautiful critters that rear their heads from a long winter's nap. I have two butterflies to show you today. The pink version is one I made during Club Anya's Virtual Stamp Luau. That was so much fun as I have never done a virtual stamp night before. The second card is a prototype I made for my monthly Sisterhood swap on SCS. This month's hostess in the ever sweet kind heart Miss Kelly (MiamiKel4). She picked the theme of Friendship Gum. With this theme we are to use either a friendship related theme or sweet treat theme and the card has to have a hidden element. Well, when I saw these flower pot cards I knew I had to do one. Two things I learned while doing this card(and the reason why this is a prototype), when attaching the flowers, lay the card on a standard envelope to be sure your arrangement can fit into a standard A2 envie and don't use glue to attach the ribbon. Well I knew about the glue but at 1 am I wasn't thinking and it was already in reach from assembling my flowers. Sorry I don't have many deets, but the first was colored with copics and the second was colored with SU re-inkers and aquapainter. Enjoy the day!

Oh, and did I mention that my card for Sandra's Birthday is being used in Club Anya's "I wanna be like..." challenge. How super cool is that! I'm super excited. I get to be the judge and with all the talent that I have seen in the Club Anya followers, it is going to be a tough decision. If you get a chance, go and play because you might be the winner of a digital stamp. Here is the link.

Mary, these are both awesome! I really like the flowers...those are cut from a cricuit? I gotta look into this. So cute!! And congrats again on your card being chosen to CASE. It will be hard to pick a winner, I'm sure...but since Sandra mentioned...we're best buds too right ;) *wink

Oh, P.S. Kelly!! I want one of Mary's cards!!

The flowers were cut with Fiskars Daisy punch and for the leaves I used SU's 3 heary punch, but only used two of the three as one was too small. My followers are the best. Hugs to you all. And yes we are buds too Kadiebug! ;p

These are so wonderful! I love them both. And Kudos for being the leader for the case of the week. I think I might even see if I can dig up some images I received from swaps and ink them up. I love your layout and would be honored to case it!
