My First Blog Post

Well I did it! I created my very own blog so that I can share myself and creativity with my wonderful friends that I have come across on SCS and all the friends and family that have been in my life for a long time. There is a lot to learn about a blog and I do hope to make improvements to mine as I learn how to navigate in the blog environment.

I should also probably include some inspiration in my first post. About a month ago I participated in some challenges that led up to the Hanna Stamps release party in October. I was so excited about this party because a dear SCS friend, B-gin-R, was selected to be their guest designer(which quickly turned into a permanent DT member). Anyway I made time for myself to make the cards you see below and I feel they are perfect for my first post since both coffee and late night submissions of them were involved. I hope you enjoy them.

I created this card for the embossing challenge. The right-hand border has clear embossing on it and I just love these colors together.

I created this card for the button challenge. I didn't win any of the card challenges, but I was very proud of myself for making some me time so that I could participate. I'm also very happy with the way the cards turned out. I did win a Diet Sophie during the party due to my lightening quick ability to do a Google search and answer a question. EEK! It's 12:30 am and I have to get up for work at 5:00 am. I guess that means a Starbuck stop on the way in to work in the morning.
